Public Sector Damp Proofing

In our public sector case study, we take you inside a project we completed for Inverclyde Council to carry out damp and waterproofing works at the vacant Prince of Wales Bar in Port Glasgow. The building had a long-standing history of rising and lateral damp affecting both the ground floor and basement. The property was under regeneration as part of the Council’s ongoing commercial improvement programme. We were asked to provide treatment, with minimal disruption and a short turnaround time for re-letting.

Insurance Damp Proofing

This one covers a tricky insurance job where the customer had recently moved into her flat and discovered signs of damp under the laminate flooring in the hall and bathroom. Concerned that this might be due to a previous or ongoing leak, she requested a survey to assess for damp, timber rot, and structural damage. She requested a report and quote to send to her insurance company.

Private Sector Damp Proofing

In this case study, Le Creuset appointed Matheson Damp Services to undertake remedial damp and waterproofing works at a newly acquired retail premises in Edinburgh city centre. The basement, intended for stock storage, was exhibiting signs of lateral moisture ingress and degraded finishes. A rapid and durable solution was required ahead of the store’s opening.
